I'm Mr. Otto, and this is my dog Tazzy. He has been a bookstore dog for the past three years, greeting children who came to visit Mr. Otto's Children's Books on the Miracle Mile in Stockton. Known as the Doorbell Dog, he greeted every customer as they came in and loved having the children rub his belly. We have both retired from the bookstore to develop, expand and make available our extensive collection of grownup books to you online. My personal story goes way back many years, when I was just a little boy.
My Story
For as far back as I can remember, I have been obsessed with books. When I was three, I picked up a book, handed it to my mother and said, "Wead". That's when it all started. From that point on, I could never get enough books or "weading". Everywhere I went, I looked for books. I visited every bookstore, bought and collected books throughout my whole life. I always wanted to have a bookstore of my own. Nine years ago that dream became a reality. My little collection grew to over 30,000 books.

I've retired from Mr. Otto's Children's Books and have left those little books behind, but the books haven't left me. . . so here I am, sharing my grownup books with you.
